Combining Tops Sales, Coupons and Tops Gas Points can save you a ton of your grocery bill!!
There is usually 8-10 week Tops Gas Point promos where you can earn gas points for your grocery purchases. The easiest way to earn points is to buy items in the Bonus Promos or “Gas Boxes” every week where you earn 200 points when you buy 6 etc. Then to maximize your savings, make sure to fill up the maximum amount of gallons!
There are three simple ways to earn Tops Gas points with your TOPS BonusPlus®:
- Earn 1 GasPoint for every dollar you spend on groceries.
- Earn 10 GasPoints for every manufacturer coupon you redeem at TOPS. (maximum is 10 coupons or 100 points per transaction)
- Check the TOPS weekly ad for even more ways to earn hundreds of extra GasPoints! Example of Bonus offer or “Gas Box”
How your receipt will look:
After earning Gas points, your receipt will look like below. This shows 2437 gas points= $2.40 per gallon.
$2.40 per gallon multiplied by the max fill up of 25 gallons= $60 in gas for buying groceries!
Redeeming your Gas points:
From Tops Website: The Gas Discount is valid for one vehicle fill up in one transaction only (max. of 25 gallons of gasoline per transaction). It is limited to one vehicle/one transaction only according to legal guidelines and to ensure our customers’ safety.
*My Tops stores does allow you to fill up more than one vehicle, and plastic gas jugs
There is no cash back on Gas Points and once you use them they are gone. If you do have more Gas Points than what the cost for gas – (example $3 for gallon of gas vs $2.49 cost for gas) the remaining $.61 per gallon will remain on your card to use on your next gas purchase.
After redeeming your Tops Gas Points, you will continue to earn points again for all your grocery purchases through the duration of the promotion. After the earning period is over Tops has a 2 week redeem only period. You must use your gas points before the last Saturday night during the 2 week redeem period or they will expire!
